Quiz #2

A spacecraft drifts through the space at a constant velocity. Suddenly a gas leak on one side of the spacecraft and resulted in a constant acceleration in a direction perpendicular to the initial velocity. The orientation of the spacecraft does not change so that the acceleration remains perpendicular to the original direction of the velocity.
a) Describe the subsequent motion of the spacecraft, its initial velocity, projection angle and acceleration.
b) Give an equivalent motion that is similar to the situation.
